Empiravi (“the app”, “we”, “us”) is a community recipe app that lets people write down, keep, and share recipes. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and what control you have over it.

The app needs an internet connection and checks network availability so it can work offline where possible. Our backend provider records standard technical information such as IP address and timestamps when your device contacts the server, as any web service does, for security and abuse prevention.
The app requests only two Android permissions: internet access and network state. It does not request access to your location, contacts, microphone, or files beyond the images you deliberately choose to upload.
Recipes can be translated for viewing. Translation runs on your device using offline language models; the text you read is not sent to a translation service. An English version of published recipe text is stored on our servers so that recipes written in one language can be found and translated for readers using another. Translations never overwrite the author's original text.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers.
The free version of the app may display advertising space. Premium subscribers see no advertisements. Where advertising is served by a third party in future, this policy will be updated before that happens.
Recipes you publish, your username, your public profile details, comments, and ratings are visible to other people using the app. Please do not put private information into content you publish.
We keep your information for as long as your account exists. You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete account in the app. Deleting your account permanently removes your account and associated data. This cannot be undone. Copies may persist briefly in routine backups before being overwritten.
Depending on where you live — including in the EU/EEA and the UK — you may have the right to access, correct, export, or erase your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to complain to a data protection authority. You can exercise most of these directly in the app (editing your profile, deleting content, deleting your account), or by contacting us at the address above.
Empiravi is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age required by local law to consent to online services. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will remove it.
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and access to stored data is restricted by server-side rules so that you can only reach data you are permitted to see. No online service can promise perfect security, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
Our providers may store and process data in countries other than yours. Where required, appropriate safeguards are used for such transfers.
We may update this policy as the app develops. The “last updated” date above will change, and significant changes will be communicated in the app where appropriate.
